Lead Pastor
Lonnie Lerhman
Lonnie Lehrman has served at Granbury Baptist Church for over 20 years. Lonnie is very passionate about souls and spreading the gospel. Granbury Baptist Church has birthed six sister churches in the last 12 years under e3 Ministries. He also serves on the boards for Manna World Wide and Baptist Bible College. He and his wife, Heather have three beautiful children, two amazing daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren. Family time equals fun in the Lehrman household.
Executive Pastor
Lonnie Short
Lonnie and Disty joined the GBC staff in 2013. Lonnie has been in ministry since 1987. He is passionate about discipleship and diving into God’s Word. You will find him many weekends going to garage sales and estate sales for the purpose of meeting new people and inviting them to church. Lonnie and Disty were married in 1985 and have been blessed with four incredible kids, three beautiful daughters-in-law, and four amazing grandkids.
Administrative Pastor
Shawn Lutgen
Shawn came to Granbury Baptist in 2009. He and his wife Chrissy were married in 1993. They have twin boys and two bonus daughters-in-law. Shawn is a 1993 graduate of Mission University in Springfield, MO, and a 1997 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. His favorite things are spending time with his family, being in, on, and around water, playing drums, watching sports, and his Great Danes, Rose and Olive.
Children's Director
Disty Short
Disty and Lonnie came to GBC in 2013. Disty has worked with children, youth, and ladies’ ministries for over 40 years but her passion is the kids. Her favorite times of the year are the weeks of VBS and the Christmas Carnival. Lonnie and Disty have been blessed with four amazing kids, three wonderful daughters-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren so far with hopes of many more to come!
Mentoring Pastor
Wade Gates
Wade came to Granbury Baptist in 2017. He has a lovely wife named Kristie, and together they have three children. Addison, Cecilia, and Clementine. They are also blessed with five grandchildren!! Wade is a business owner from Ohio. He loves to find a good deal, and he has never met a stranger! Known to the Youth as the Candy Man.
Financial Pastor
Steve Dillard
Steve has served churches for 49 years as a Bible teacher and business manager. In 2015, he and his wife, Sandy, moved to Granbury, where he became Financial Pastor. He also teaches a Sunday morning Bible class. Steve and Sandy have two married daughters and seven grandchildren. Steve credits all he’s accomplished to the Lord Jesus Christ, who remains central to the Dillard family.
Youth Minister
Tyler Welch
Tyler joined the Granbury Baptist Team in 2022. Tyler is from Granbury where he has lived most of his life. He is married to Kelci and has a son named Lincoln. Tyler also teaches middle school Bible at Cornerstone Christian Academy and is highly involved with the basketball teams at Granbury High School. Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and watching movies.
Youth Minister
Clementine Gates
Clementine Gates is the Youth Minister here at Granbury Baptist Church since 2021. She is a 2022 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. She contains a burning passion to impact the next generation with the gospel. Some of her favorite things to do is spend time with her family, friends, and compete in any competition. The only time you will see her not smiling is when she is losing in a game.
Sports Ministry
Jordan Short
Jordan joined the Granbury Baptist Team in 2023. Jordan grew up in Michigan and moved to Granbury a few years ago. Jordan played college basketball at Medonna University. He has a heart for sharing his faith through sports. Some of his favorite things are anything sports, dope shoes, and hanging with his friends and family. Don’t mess with him on the dance floor because he will bust some moves.
Young Adults Pastor
Luke Short
Luke has faithfully served the church since his family moved to Texas in 2014. He graduated from DBU where he met his wife Hope, they married in 2020 and stayed in Granbury afterwards. Since then luke was appointed as the young adult minister in summer of 2025. He has a desire to help others grow in their own walks with the Lord and see their faiths deepen. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children whenever he gets the chance.
Worship Leader
Heather Lerhman
Heather has been leading worship at GBC since 2022. She and her husband, Lonnie Lehrman, have been serving together as Pastor and Pastor’s wife since 2002. They have three amazing children, two incredible daughters-in-law and four beautiful grandchildren.
Although worship leading is outside Heather’s comfort zone, she genuinely loves it and is passionate about sincerely leading others to worship our incredible God.
Missions Pastor
Greg Kent
Greg and Collene Kent moved to Granbury in 2023 after 21 years of ministry and missionary service. Greg has served as a Youth Pastor, Church Planter, and Missionary, including 11 years in the Dominican Republic, 1 year in North Wales, and 9 years in Atlantic Canada, helping start churches and support local congregations.
Greg is passionate about discipleship and training ministry leaders, and has helped launch churches and strengthen discipleship ministries in multiple congregations. The Kents now serve in Granbury’s Spanish ministry, and their ministry verse is 2 Timothy 2:2.
Information Center
Sandy Dillard
Their two daughters and sons-in-law blessed them with 7 grandchildren. She worked at Overland Park Baptist Church in Kansas as a secretary before coming to Texas. She enjoys doing things with her family, like taking them to Disney World. Most of all, she loves serving the Lord, greeting people at the Information Center and serving at GBC in any way that she is needed.
Financial Administrator
Norma Lutgen
Norma came to Granbury Baptist in May 2010. She was married to Jerry Lutgen for 49 years before becoming a widow in 2016. Her one son and daughter-in-love, Shawn and Chrissy, and her twin grandsons, Parker and Preston, are her pride and joy. Norma retired from the funeral industry in 1999 and started working for Trinity Baptist in Abilene, Tx in 2000 until 2006. She started working at Granbury Baptist in July 2010 until present as the Financial Administrator. She counts it a blessing to be able to serve the Lord in this capacity.
Administrative Assitant
Collene Kent
Collene became our Administrative Assistant in April 2025. As the wife of a Youth Pastor, Church Planter, and Missionary, her life has been full of ministry work and adventure. She has helped start Women’s Bible Studies, Children’s Sunday School classes, and Youth Groups alongside her husband.
Her passion is discipleship, training others, and counseling. She loves teaching Sunday School and equipping volunteers through Sunday School Teacher Training.
Greg and Collene have three children who are faithfully serving the Lord in their local churches and seven wonderful grandchildren.
